Signal processing in C and Python, growth path into real-time audio

Who we are

Purilian is a Florence based deep-tech company that designs, builds and installs active noise cancellation (ANC) systems for industry: stacks, ducts, ventilation plants and machinery in large production facilities across Europe and the United States. Algorithms, electronics and mechanics are developed in-house, from the acoustic model to the installation in the field.

The role

You will join the team that develops the control algorithms of our ANC systems and grow toward owning real-time audio code in production. Expect a lot of hands-on work: writing C, running tests, measuring real systems, learning from senior engineers every day.

What you will work on

• Signal processing code in C under the guidance of the senior team.
• Test and measurement sessions on our systems, in the lab and in the field.
• Analysis scripts in Python: spectra, filters, performance plots.
• Documentation of algorithms and experiments.

What we look for

• A degree in engineering, physics, computer science or equivalent preparation; recent graduates are welcome.
• Solid C fundamentals and genuine interest in signal processing.
• Basic DSP knowledge: sampling, FFT, digital filters.
• Curiosity for hardware and experimental work.
• Working technical English; Italian is welcome but not required to start.

Nice to have

• University or personal projects in audio, acoustics or embedded systems.
• Python or MATLAB for analysis.

What we offer

• Permanent contract, based in Florence, Italy.
• Meal vouchers and supplementary healthcare (SAN.ARTI).
• Annual welfare budget as fringe benefits.
• Projects for international industrial clients in automotive, energy and manufacturing.
• Compensation: EUR 30,000 gross per year (RAL).
• Relocation to Florence: we help with the practical steps.
