Senior Mechanical Engineer, Product and Installations

Who we are

Purilian is a Florence based deep-tech company that designs, builds and installs active noise cancellation (ANC) systems for industry. Our systems live outdoors, on stacks and ducts of production plants: sun, rain, snow, wind and vibration are part of the specification.

The role

We are looking for the person who will own the mechanical side of our products: enclosures, supports, fixings and everything that sits between our electronics and the client’s plant. As the range grows, a dedicated engineer is needed to evolve it together with the projects.

What you will work on

• Design of outdoor enclosures and cabinets: rain and snow tightness, UV resistance, access for maintenance.
• Supports and fixings to stacks, platforms and client structures: weight checks, wind load, stability.
• Thermal management: cooling of amplifiers and DSPs inside sealed boxes.
• 3D CAD (we work in Autodesk Fusion, for mechanics as for electronics), technical drawings and BOMs for outsourced production (sheet metal, CNC, painting).
• Non-acoustic requirements of the treated ducts: air tightness, interfaces, tolerances.
• Technical growth of the junior profiles in the team.
• Participation in installations at client sites.

What we look for

• A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent preparation.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design with 3D CAD and design for manufacturing, with products that reached the market or the plant.
• Structural and thermal checks carried out independently and documented.
• Hands-on attitude: workshop, suppliers, site work.
• Working technical English.

Nice to have

• Experience with outdoor or industrial products (IP rating, corrosion).
• Notions of acoustics or NVH.
